McCall offers an amazing community and vibrant mountain town atmosphere, but just an hour south, Riggins sits in the heart of the Salmon River Canyon, surrounded by a completely different landscape with the amazing free flowing Salmon River running through it.

While McCall is perfect for a peaceful retreat, Riggins provides a more immersive river experience & culture. Our incredible scenery, is easily accessible and a “must-see” for those spending time in the area.

Whether you’re fishing for Steelhead in-between days skiing, spending a day under the sun Smallmouth Bass fishing, or searching for that big Chinook Salmon, Riggins offers a friendly small-town vibe with unmatched recreational opportunities. How to get to Riggins - an easy & beautiful drive

Riggins, idaho

From McCall, drive north on Highway 55 for 12 miles. Once you reach New Meadows, turn right onto Highway 95. Follow Highway 95 for 30 miles through the scenic Meadows Valley at the headwaters of the Little Salmon River. Continue through the Little Salmon River Canyon, (Maybe stop to take a photo of the waterfalls!) until you reach downtown Riggins, Idaho, at the confluence of the Salmon River & Little Salmon River.
